Islander Middle School QTVR Project

This year, as part of my Multimedia Club activities, as well as for a fun project for my teacher aides, we decided to do a QuickTime VR scene of Islander Middle School. Using Apple Computer's QuickTime VR Authoring Studio and a digital camera, we embarked on photographing the school. Once we had our photographs, we imported them into QTVR Authoring Studio and let the software do its magic.

To take advantage of the QuickTime VR 360º panoramas, you must have QuickTime installed on your computer. This is a cross-platform, free application that is available for download. Once you have it installed, return to this page to see the panoramas.

How do you make these panoramas?

This page will show you how we accomplished the more technical aspects of the project.

Islander Middle School QTVR

This is the complete QTVR scene. It is large (approximately 19mb) file, so you'll want broadband if you plan on seeing the entire scene.

Select QTVRs

This page will allow you to choose selected panoramas from within the full scene. This is for those of you out there with lower bandwidth.

You can click on the image at the top of any of the pages (or press the Back button in your browser) to return to this page.
